Editing and Registering Data
In the Researcher Information System (herein referred to as the DB system) there is "Information that has a list screen" and "Information that does not have a list screen". The "Register" button is located differently for each screen.
◆Editing and registering information without a list screen.
You can edit or register data that could not have multiple types of information (such as name or contact information) using the registration screen that appears on the right side of the screen.
Select the information you want to edit or register from the menu and display the registration screen. When the necessary editing is completed, please click the "Register" button next to the "Logout" button at the top of the page.
◆Editing and Registering Information that has a list screen
If various types of data can be registered, the data can be edited or registered by clicking "Edit" at the top of the screen.
If you click "Edit" on the list screen for the data you want to edit or register, the registration screen will appear as a separate window. When you have completed the necessary data editing,click the "Register" button at either the top or bottom of the registration screen.

Adding New Data
For information where multiple data can be registered, you can add the data by clicking "Add" at the top of the list screen.
If you click the "Add" button on the list screen, the registration screen will appear as a separate window. When you have completed the necessary data editing, click the "Register" button at either the top or bottom of the registration screen.

Deleting Data
You can delete the data that could be registered multiple.
If you click on "Edit" on the data you want to delete on the list screen, the registration screen will appear as a separate window. Next, click on "Delete" button at either the top or bottom of the registration screen.

Copying Data
Information that has a "Copy" button displayed on the list screen can be duplicated and used to make a new entry using registered data.
If you click on the "Copy" button of the registered data you want to duplicate, a registration screen will appear with the copied data. After adding the necessary change, click on the "Register" button at either the top or bottom of the registration screen.

Moving Data(Moving Bibliography・Papers・Research presentations)
You can move the registered data to classifications such as "Bibliography", "Papers" and "Research presentations".
A "Move" button (Move to B/ Move to P/ Move to R) will appear on the list screen if you select "Bibliography", "Papers" or "Research presentations" in the menu. If you want to move to another information category, click the "move" button of the registered data. Then you will be confirmed on a separate window. After verifying that it is the data you want to move, click the "Register" button at either the top or bottom of the page.
When moving data is completed, the original list screen is updated.

【Notes on entering information】
・When the "Close" button is clicked on the updated screen after completing the changes, the original list screen will be updated.
・Moved data will not appear on the original list screen. If you need to edit moved data, select on the menu where you have moved the data.
 
2.Displaying on the list screen

Changing order of data
There are certain rules for ordering the list of information which can be registered multiple data. The data is sorted and displayed according to those rules.
You can sort your data in the order you want by entering a number "1-9999" in the "Display order" box on the list screen, and then click on "Register" which located next to "Logout" at the top of the page.

【Notes on entering information】
・the "Display order" configuration has priority over the system's the other ordering rules.
・If "Display order" is not specified, data are sorted through the system's ordering rules.
・Specified display order will also effects on the "Check how data will appear on the University official website", "Data provided to researchmap", and "Output individual data".

【When both Japanese and English data are registered】
If both Japanese and English data are registered, data of the display language will be displayed first. If only one data is registered, that data is shown.
 
3.Input word count function
You can confirm the character count and the remaining allowed number of characters by clicking "LENGTH" on each screen's input box heading.
